The veteran Indian batter, Robin Uthappa was at his very best in Match No.4 of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) between Asia Lions and India Maharajas on Tuesday, March 14 at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium, Doha. Playing for the Maharajas, Uthappa, who announced his retirement from all forms of Indian cricket back in September 2022, was severe on Mohammad Hafeez.
In the ninth over of the Maharajas’ run-chase, Robin Uthappa made the most of the long handle to good effect and hit Hafeez for three massive sixes over the mid-wicket region. Hafeez, who recently played for the Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023, kept bowling short and the batter made no mistake in depositing the ball into the stands.
