Mumbai Indians (MI) posted a gigantic total of 218-5 in the game against Gujarat Titans (GT). GT had a dreadful start to their run chase as Wriddhiman Saha and Hardik Pandya were dismissed cheaply and the visitors were in a spot of bother in the first three overs itself. Shubman Gill along with Vijay Shankar put the run chase back on the track. Shubman Gill was seen struggling to smash the boundaries.
Earlier in the match, there was carnage as the star MI batter Suryakumar Yadav came out all guns blazing as he smashed 103 runs in 49 balls and struck 11 fours and 6 maximums. Suryakumar Yadav was seen taking calculative risks and was seen playing innovative shots.

GT’s star leg-spinner Rashid Khan was the wrecker-in-chief who scalped 4 wickets and gave away only 30 runs in his 4-over spell whereas all the rest of the bowlers were taken to the cleaners by the dashing batter Suryakumar Yadav. At the end of 3 overs, GT’s score was 17-2. Akash Madhwal was bowling the 4th over, and on the 5th delivery Madhwal bowled a short-of-a-length delivery on the off-stump, Gill tried to play a pull shot but missed the ball completely as his off-stump was destroyed.

It would be interesting to see what the approach of the destructive batter David Miller would be as his wicket was quite pivotal. MI skipper Rohit Sharma would be pumped up as this would be the start that they would have planned for. Piyush Chawla’s 4 overs were decisive as his googly delivery is quite hard to pick for the right-handed batters.
