Regarding the game itself, the Dragons batted first after losing the toss. However, their start was less than impressive, with openers Rahul and Shivam Singh scoring 20 and 21 runs, respectively. The top order struggled to make an impact on the game, including Baba Indrajith, Boopathi Kumar, and Ravichandran Ashwin, who contributed one, seven, and one run, respectively.

It was Adithya Ganesh’s innings that provided stability to the Dragons. Ganesh played a crucial knock, scoring 44 runs off 30 balls, enabling his team to post a competitive total on the scoreboard. Late contributions from Sarath Kumar and Suboth Bhati helped the Dragons reach a total of 170 runs.
In the chase, Chepauk’s Narayan Jagadeesan and Baba Aparajith were the standout performers, scoring 37 and 74 runs, respectively. However, the rest of the batting lineup struggled to make significant contributions, narrowly missing out on victory.
