The former power-hitting batsman recently grabbed attention with his social media antics, imitating Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic “siuuu” celebration after an imaginary home run at a baseball field. The video caught the eye of former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, who reacted with a laughing emoji, joining the fans in their amusement.

Chris Gayle recently visited Canada to participate in the Cricket Day at the Park event organized by the Toronto Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre on June 24. He attended as a cricket ambassador and delivered the inaugural speech before the Blue Jays faced the Oakland Athletics in an exciting baseball clash. During the event, Gayle engaged in a fun-filled batting practice session alongside Rizwan Cheema, former captain of Cricket Canada, and current national team members Saad Zafar, Hiba Shamshad, and Harsh Thaker. 

Chris Gayle also tried his hand at baseball and received a special replica jersey from the Toronto Blue Jays. Gayle’s illustrious cricket career speaks for itself. He represented the West Indies in 103 Tests and 301 ODIs, amassing 7,215 and 10,480 runs, respectively.

While he has retired from international cricket, the 43-year-old continues to play T20 matches and aims to bid farewell to the shortest format in front of his home crowd in Jamaica.

In his 79 T20I appearances, Chris Gayle has scored 1,899 runs, including 14 half-centuries and two centuries. His performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) is particularly noteworthy, where he made history with a remarkable 175-run knock. Gayle played 142 IPL matches, accumulating 4,965 runs at an impressive average of 39.72.
