South Africa had earlier posted a mammoth total of 429 runs on the board, thanks to centuries from Aiden Markram, Rassie van der Dussen, and Quinton de Kock. Sri Lanka were never really in the chase, and they were eventually bowled out for 281. Jansen’s performance in the second innings was particularly impressive. He bowled with great discipline and accuracy, and he was able to exploit the conditions to his advantage.

His first wicket was that of Pathum Nissanka, who was castled by an inswinger. He then removed Kusal Perera with a peach of a delivery that bounced and went through the bat to hit the stumps.

Jansen also played a crucial role in the dismissal of Sadeera Samarawickrama. He took a brilliant low catch at mid-on to send the Sri Lankan batsman back to the pavilion. South Africa were dominant throughout the match. They batted first and posted a mammoth total of 429 runs on the board. They then bowled with great discipline to bowl out Sri Lanka for 281.
The victory was South Africa’s second in the tournament, and it put them in a strong position to qualify for the knockout stages.
