When asked about his interactions with Virat Kohli, Yuvraj mentioned, “Not really. I don’t disturb him as he is busy. Young Virat Kohli’s name was Cheeku. Today’s Cheeku is Virat Kohli, there’s a big difference.” This casual approach reflects Yuvraj’s respect for Kohli’s commitments and priorities.

The two cricketers have shared the field in numerous international matches and have also been teammates in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Yuvraj Singh commended Kohli for his remarkable dedication to fitness, acknowledging the transformative impact Kohli had on the team’s fitness standards.

Yuvraj also lightheartedly remarked about Kohli’s football skills, playfully suggesting that he is the superior player in that regard. He humorously noted, “He thinks he’s a very good footballer, but I have more skills. He is young, he runs around. He thinks he is Cristiano Ronaldo but he isn’t. In cricket, he is. In terms of fitness, it matches (their mentality), and the focus on the game also.” This friendly banter highlights the camaraderie between the two cricketing stars, whose friendship has evolved over the years.
