During the ongoing second T20I between South Africa and India at Centurion, Shikhar Dhawan did not let Rohit Sharma’s wicket halt India’s progress. In which was the third over of the Indian innings, the Indian opener amassed 20 runs of a Chris Morris over, thus setting the tone for the Indian innings.
Carrying on his formidable form from Johannesburg, Dhawan hit a boundary off a short ball to commence the over. He dealt with another short delivery from Morris by hitting it for a six over the deep square leg.
Bowling the same length, Morris was hit for a four through the point region on the following delivery. On the penultimate delivery of the match, Dhawan picked up the slower delivery down the leg side early and dispatched it over the deep square leg boundary for a six.
Dhawan finally got out in the fifth over after giving a catch to Farhaan Behardien off JP Duminy. He ended up scoring 24 (14) with the help of three fours and two sixes.
