While the authenticity of the video remains unconfirmed, it has sparked widespread criticism among fans, thrusting the superstar into the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. In a nail-biting encounter, Harshit Rana emerged as the hero for Kolkata Knight Riders as he delivered a brilliant final over to halt a charging Heinrich Klassen, securing a narrow and thrilling four-run victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The match witnessed a dramatic last-ball finish, with Klassen almost single-handedly steering SRH towards an unlikely victory. However, Rana’s heroics in the final over snatched victory from the jaws of defeat for KKR. Despite Klassen’s valiant efforts, the momentum swung back in KKR’s favour as Rana dismissed Shahbaz Ahmed and then claimed the crucial wicket of Klassen. Suyash Sharma’s exceptional catch at short third sealed the nerve-wracking win for Kolkata Knight Riders.

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s spirited chase fell short as they finished their innings on 204/7, just four runs shy of KKR’s total of 208/7. The match was highlighted by Andre Russell’s blistering unbeaten knock of 64 runs off 25 balls and Phil Salt’s composed 54, laying the foundation for KKR’s formidable total after being asked to bat first by SRH captain Pat Cummins on a pitch conducive to high-scoring encounters.
