India’s defence of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is slated to kick off on November 22, with the opening Test of the 2023–24 series against Australia scheduled at the Perth Stadium in Perth, according to a release from Cricket Australia on Tuesday. The Adelaide Oval will witness the series’ sole Day-Night Test commencing on December 6, followed by the third Test at The Gabba in Brisbane from December 14.
Melbourne Cricket Ground is set to host the traditional Boxing Day Test, while the fifth and final match of the five-game series will take place at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The upcoming 2023–24 series marks the first time since 1991–92 that five Test matches will be contested between the two cricketing giants.
