In the ongoing IPL 2024 clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Gujarat Titans (GT), Australian opener Travis Head faced a setback, managing only 19 runs. Despite his initial promise, Head fell victim to the crafty bowling of Afghan spinner Noor Ahmad, denying him a chance to make a significant impact.
Head’s dismissal occurred in the third over of SRH’s innings when GT captain Shubman Gill introduced Noor into the attack to break the opening partnership. The move proved successful as Noor delivered a deceptive googly that deceived Head, resulting in the left-hander’s stumps being disturbed.
Although Head had showcased his aggressive intent with some flashy shots, he couldn’t sustain his innings against Noor’s clever bowling tactics. This disappointment came after Head’s impressive performance against Mumbai Indians in the previous match.

Following Head’s departure, Aiden Markram, the dynamic South African batsman, joined the resilient Abhishek Sharma at the crease. Currently, Sunrisers find themselves in a challenging position, with the score at 69 for two in nine overs. Abhishek Sharma is holding firm on 27*, accompanied by Markram, who has just begun his innings with 5* to his name.
