The ongoing Lucknow Super Giants vs Gujarat Titans match has seen a few thrilling moments so far and one of them is the dismissal of Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill’s dismissal. Yash Thakur bowled a stunning delivery to send Shubman Gill in.
However, it happened in the final ball of the powerplay when Tash Thakur bowled a straight delivery and Shubman Gill tried to flick the full straight delivery but missed it badly. The ball went through and rattled the stumps. He managed to score 19 off 21 with 2 fours. With his dismissal, Lucknow Super Giants successfully drew the first blood and GT scored 54 runs in the powerplay.

However, Lucknow Super Giants managed to post a decent total of 163 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs. Marcus Stoinis top-scored with 58 whereas Umesh Yadav and Darshan Nalkande claimed two wickets each.
After the first innings, Umesh Yadav said: “I have been bowling with the new ball since the start of the tournament, but happy that I got a couple of wickets today. Have been working in the nets, having a word with Ashish Nehra as well, so happy that I executed my plans today. If you are accurate in the powerplay, chances of getting wickets is high. Just had to hit the right areas. The wicket is a little spongy, think a little dew has also started to settle in. Think 163 is chaseable.”
