Brett Lee’s passion for music is as unstoppable as his pace on the cricket field. The former Australian fast bowler, renowned for his fiery deliveries, transforms into a different persona when he picks up a guitar or sits at a piano. Currently in India for his commentary duties in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), the 47-year-old recently indulged in a musical interlude despite his hectic schedule.
In a video shared on his Instagram, Brett Lee was spotted showcasing his piano skills, unable to resist the allure of a grand piano in his hotel lobby. Expressing his love for music, Lee captioned the post, “Sometimes when you see a piano, you just gotta play it. A bit of downtime in the middle of all the exciting cricket going on.”

Lee’s journey into the realm of music began during his cricketing days, with his first foray into songwriting during the 2006 ICC Champions Trophy in India. This led to a successful collaboration with legendary singer Asha Bhosle for the track “You’re the One for Me,” which garnered popularity in both India and Australia.

In addition to his musical pursuits, Brett Lee ventured into acting, making his Bollywood debut in the romantic comedy “UnIndian” in 2017, alongside Indian actress Tannishtha Chatterjee, under the direction of Anupam Sharma.
On the cricketing front, Lee boasts an illustrious career, having represented Australia in 221 ODIs, 76 Tests, and 25 T20Is. He played a pivotal role in Australia’s triumph at the 2003 ICC ODI World Cup and was the first bowler to claim a hat-trick in T20Is. Following his retirement from international cricket in 2012, Lee transitioned into commentary while continuing to pursue his passion for music.

A familiar face in the IPL, Brett Lee participated in the tournament for six seasons from its inception in 2008. Lee’s association with KKR extended beyond the playing field, as he served as the team’s bowling mentor in 2013.
