Sunrisers Hyderabad began their innings aggressively, with Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head launching an assault on the Mumbai Indians bowlers, effortlessly reaching the fifty-run mark within the powerplay overs. However, the momentum shifted when Jasprit Bumrah initiated the downfall by dismissing Abhishek Sharma, followed by debutant Anshul Kamboj claiming the scalp of Mayank Agarwal.

As Travis Head posed a looming threat, inching towards his half-century, Mumbai Indians turned to their seasoned campaigner, Piyush Chawla, to weave his magic and alter the game’s trajectory. Chawla responded in style, first enticing Travis Head into a false shot that resulted in an easy catch for Tilak Varma at deep square-leg.

The veteran spinner didn’t stop there, as he outfoxed the hard-hitting Heinrich Klaasen with a delivery that breached his defenses, crashing into the stumps and sending him back to the pavilion. These crucial breakthroughs destabilized the Sunrisers Hyderabad innings, preventing them from establishing substantial partnerships.
