In the 16th over of CSK’s run chase, Jadeja guided a delivery from Avesh Khan to third man and swiftly completed one run. However, as he attempted to return for a second run, teammate Ruturaj Gaikwad signalled him to turn back.
In his haste, Jadeja found himself in the line of the throw from the fielder to the non-striker’s end, resulting in the ball striking him as he scrambled to regain his crease. Following an on-field review, the third umpire determined that Jadeja had deliberately altered his running path, leading to the decision being made in favour of RR.
