Team India secured a remarkable victory against Pakistan (PAK) in their recent encounter at the T20 World Cup 2024. Despite a shaky start, where they managed to post only 119 runs in the first innings, India’s exceptional bowling performance ensured Pakistan fell short of the target, resulting in a thrilling six-run win for India.

After the match, star Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal took on a different role, interviewing some of the standout performers from the game, including Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, and Mohammed Siraj.

Yuzvendra Chahal’s conversation with Pant focused on his unconventional and effective shots that were pivotal in the match against Pakistan. Pant explained his mindset during the game, emphasizing his determination to perform well after a long hiatus from the playing XI.

“Not much was going on in my head; it was just the game to stay positive and the plan was to keep it simple. India-Pakistan is always a high-pressure game and Axar Patel has practiced batting at number three and four the entirety of the IPL, and when your mate is with you, you get comfortable too,” Rishabh Pant shared in a video posted by the BCCI.

Yuzvendra Chahal then turned his attention to Mohammed Siraj, who, despite being a bowler, had made a crucial contribution with the bat. Instead of focusing on his bowling prowess, Chahal quizzed Siraj about his batting efforts.

Mohammed Siraj revealed that he had been diligently practicing his batting in the nets during the IPL, understanding the significance of runs scored by tailenders. He expressed his satisfaction with his valuable seven-run contribution in such a tight game.

“I have been practicing a lot in the nets, in the IPL. At the end of the day, the runs scored by tailenders are very crucial, and we got to know how important my seven runs were. I am very happy with my contribution,” Mohammed Siraj explained.
