Team India faced a challenging start in their recent T20 World Cup 2024 clash against Pakistan. Batting first, they struggled to put up a significant total, managing only 119 runs in their innings. This modest target seemed within reach for Pakistan, who began their chase confidently.
However, India’s bowling attack proved to be the game-changer. Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya showcased exceptional skill and determination, effectively dismantling Pakistan’s batting lineup. Their combined efforts led to a dramatic turnaround, with India securing a thrilling six-run victory.
During the match, a heartwarming interaction between former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh and former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi caught the attention of fans and quickly went viral. In the clip, Yuvraj humorously inquired why Afridi appeared downcast.

Shahid Afridi responded, “Isn’t it fair that I am sad? Was this a match we (Pakistan) should have lost? When we needed to score 40 runs to win, Yuvraj told me ‘Lala, congratulations! I am leaving, won’t watch the rest of the game’. I told him ‘Yuvi, chaalis runs bohut hain iss pitch pe. Itni jaldi mubarakbaad na de mujhe (40 runs are a lot on this pitch, don’t congratulate me so early).’”

Yuvraj replied with a mix of optimism and camaraderie, “I told you Pakistan will win, but I was still confident that we (India) can win it from there. Winning and losing is part of the game, what’s important is that our bonhomie should continue.”
