Veteran India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja announced his retirement from Twenty20 Internationals on Sunday (June 30). The veteran all-rounder became the third player to retire to the format following India’s victorious campaign in the 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli being the other two as well.
“With a heart full of gratitude, I bid farewell to T20 internationals,” Jadeja wrote on Instagram on Sunday. “Like a steadfast horse galloping with pride, I’ve always given my best for my country and will continue to do so in other formats. Winning the T20 World Cup was a dream come true, a pinnacle of my T20 International career. Thank you for the memories, the cheers, and the unwavering support.”

Since his T20I debut way back in February 2009 against Sri Lanka in Colombo, Ravindra Jadeja played 74 T20Is. In 41 innings with the bat, he scored 515 runs which came at a strike rate of 127.16 and claimed 54 wickets at an economy rate of 7.13. His best performance with the bat came against England in Birmingham, where he smashed an unbeaten 29-ball 46 in 2022.
With the ball, he often played in the middle overs. His best bowling figures – 3/15 – which came against Scotland in the 2021 T20 World Cup. A top fielder, Ravindra Jadeja also took 28 catches as well.
