India triumphed over the formidable South Africans by seven runs in the T20 World Cup 2024 final in Barbados, ending a decade of near-misses in ICC tournaments. One of the most unforgettable moments for Indian fans was Rohit Sharma’s confident strut to collect the trophy at the presentation ceremony.
Interestingly, Rohit’s walk was inspired by WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, who famously approached the wrestling ring in a similar manner. Ric Flair, known for his charismatic presence, recently shared videos comparing his iconic walk to Rohit’s trophy-collecting stride.

Post their victory, the Indian team found themselves stranded in Barbados due to Cyclone Beryl, which led to the closure of the local airport for safety reasons. With weather conditions improving, the team is now set to depart today at 6 pm Barbados time, arriving in New Delhi at 7:45 pm local time on Wednesday, July 3.
Upon arrival, the victorious squad is expected to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a significant event likely contributing to their scheduled landing in the capital.
