Zimbabwe pace bowler Blessing Muzurbani shared that it would be nice to get Shubman Gill out during the upcoming series against India, starting on July 6, Saturday as well. However, India will be playing with a young side during the series with Gill leading them, which will be his first captaincy assignment with the national team. Gill is likely to be the key batter for India during the series as well.

In an exclusive interaction with Indiatoday.in, Muzurbani said, “I think I’m a bit different to probably some of the other bowlers. I do give Shubman Gill a lot of respect because he’s already performed a lot in international cricket. He’s actually a big name in cricket world. But as for me, I just take every wicket as it comes, actually. So I don’t really look at any player, and want to make any bunny or anything like that.”

However, Muzurbani also said that the goal at the end of the day is to make sure Zimbabwe get over the line and he isn’t looking at the names he will be up against as well.

“The goal is to win the game for Zimbabwe. Either take a wicket or don’t take the wicket. So it’s just all about us as a team and try and do what’s required for me to win the game. So I’m not really looking at the names. Either I get them out or don’t. If I get them out, it’s good for the team. So that’s just how I look at it. But, of course, Shubman is a good player. It’d be really nice to get him out,” said Blessing Muzurbani.

The 5-match series will take place in Harare from July 6 to 14.
