Speaking at the press conference, Jaiswal said, “When I talk to Rohit bhai or Virat bhai, I get a lot of experience from them,” Jaiswal said. “I wanted to join the team as soon as possible. To play with the team, contribute and win games.”

When he was asked about his start in the Indian team, Yashasvi Jaiswal said that he was young and had a long way to go as well.

“From last year, a lot of things have happened in my life. It is an experience, I am enjoying it. Of course, sometimes it is hard to accept what is in front of you and how you are going to come out of that, but this is just life. I try to take it one day at a time and I try to enjoy the moment,” Jaiswal said after the 4th T20I match against Zimbabwe.

“What Rohit and Virat have done for Indian cricket is incredible and it is a blessing to be a part of the same dressing room. We are trying match by match, one day at a time. I am trying my best every single time I go out. I am focusing on my process, I am very young, I have just started my career, there is a long way to go,” Jaiswal again shared.

However, this was Jaiswal’s second innings in the Zimbabwe T20I series. He had scored 36 in the 3rd T20I match on 10 July as well. While speaking about replacing the talented Abhishek Sharma at the top of the order, Jaiswal said that everyone in the team are mate and they’re all looking to learn from each other as well.

“We all are mates and we all are learning from each other and we’re really enjoying each other’s company. I think it’s just incredible the way he played and the way he scored his century,” Yashasvi Jaiswal told Sony Sports.
