Indian captain Rohit Sharma said that he treats all players like his family when he was asked about how he feels about leading a team. The veteran Indian opener has been enjoying his time off the field after leading the team to win in the 2024 T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the USA as well.
However, Rohit Sharma was recently spotted during a Wimbledon match. Meanwhile, he is currently in the USA, taking part in several events as well. In a recent interview with the Aldar Experts Podcast, the swashbuckling batter was questioned about his leadership skills as well.

Rohit replied: “For a leader, I think it’s important try and lead from the front, set an example for rest of your colleagues, your teammates. And for me it’s always been important that I’ve always carried myself in a way where I try and set an example for my colleagues. It is just not about what you do on the field, it is also about what you do off the field as well. I treat them like family, like friends, because as much as you’re part of this team, they share the equal responsibility and equal share in the team to be part of that team. So you got to make them feel homely, you have got to make them feel that you’re wanted here.”
However, he became the second Indian captain to win a T20 World Cup after MS Dhoni when the Indian team defeated South Africa in the
final by seven runs on June 29 in Barbados. Rohit Sharma also announced his retirement from T20Is after winning the 2024 T20 World Cup. Since then, the talk has been going around his retirement from other formats of games as well but he recently denied this.
“I just said it. I don’t do that far ahead. So clearly, you will be seeing me play for a while,” Rohit Sharma concluded.
