This collaboration between FanCode and Pandya has been in the pipeline almost for a year now. Now, with the launch of this project, direct access to customers will be given for Pandya’s exclusive activewear range. This collection has been curated as a means to showcase Pandya’s journey as a cricketer who is trying to relate to the youth of this country.

He spelled out his vision for the brand in relation to his journey and that of the young generation. “By launching the identity and the range that I personally use and believe in, I feel like I’m sharing a piece of my daily routine and philosophy with my fans,” Pandya told Business Standard in an interaction.

According to FanCode’s co-founder, Yannick Colaco, the development was exciting. He added, “Hardik made for an ideal brand ambassador as he appeals to a large segment of audiences, which has been fast-growing, and also had an inspirational cricketing journey. As one of the fittest athletes and an inspiring national icon, Hardik’s journey resonates with people from all walks of life.”.

Besides the new venture, Pandya has also been selected for India’s upcoming white-ball tour to Sri Lanka. The Men in Blue will be playing a three-match T20I series before featuring in an equal number of ODIs. While Pandya is in the T20I squad, he has not been declared as the captain. Suryakumar Yadav will be leading the side while Shubman Gill is named as his deputy. This decision has been arrived at after he was appointed vice-captain to Rohit Sharma in the just-ended T20 World Cup, which India won.
