England’s Mark Wood unleashed a torrent of pace and fire in the third Test against the West Indies, dismantling the Caribbean batting lineup with a spell of fast bowling that will be remembered for years to come. The West Indies batsmen were left shell-shocked as Wood ripped through their middle and lower order.
His delivery to dismiss Alzarri Joseph was a thing of beauty. A full, fast ball that swung in late, leaving Joseph rooted to the spot as the bails were sent cartwheeling. It was a masterclass in fast bowling.

Mark Wood’s relentless accuracy and pace proved too much for the West Indies, as he quickly followed up Joseph’s wicket with those of Kavem Hodge and Jayden Seales. Hodge, the lone West Indian resistance, was undone by a superb outswinger that found the edge and flew to Harry Brook at second slip.

Seales was cleaned up by a searing delivery that crashed into the off stump. The cherry on top came in the final ball of the over, as Shamar Joseph edged a wide delivery to Brook, giving Wood his fifth wicket and a well-deserved five-for.

The West Indies were bundled out for a paltry 175, setting England a modest target of 81 runs to complete a 3-0 whitewash. With the series on the line, England will be looking to wrap things up quickly. Skipper Ben Stokes has opened the batting, and all eyes will be on him to guide his team to victory.
