Jitesh Sharma, the wicketkeeper-batter from Amravati and a deft one at that, who has been part of Punjab Kings since 2022, just shared a sweet piece of personal news with his fans. On August 9, he had posted an update on Instagram, sharing that he had got engaged to Shalaka Makeshwar, an IT professional from Nagpur with an engineering background.
“As promised,” wrote the sweet post, which has a beautiful picture of the two holding bouquets and setting off in floral garlands, towering at each other in love-struck expressions. The caption revealed that the engagement had actually happened on August 8, a day before.

The announcement soon gained a wave of good wishes from around friends, teammates, and fans surrounding Jitesh. The people who congratulated the couple included Arshdeep Singh, Suryakumar Yadav, Avesh Khan, and Washington Sundar.
