Tendulkar holds numerous records, including the most international centuries (100), a feat still unmatched. An old video of Gavaskar predicting Tendulkar’s greatness recently resurfaced, showcasing just how much faith he had in the budding star.

In the video, Gavaskar humorously states, “If at the end of his career, he does not get a minimum of 15,000 runs and 40 Test centuries, I shall personally go and strangle him. 20 years down the road, my hands might not have the strength, but I’ll find someone to do it. He’s got that much talent. Sachin, I hope you won’t let me down, or Indian cricket down.”
