The Bangladesh men’s cricket team is set to travel to India this week for an exciting two-match Test series, followed by a three-match T20I series in October. The Test series will kick off on September 19 at the iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, with the second match scheduled for September 27 at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur.

After the Test matches, the teams will face off in the T20 format, with games to be held in Gwalior, Delhi, and Hyderabad on October 6, 9, and 12, respectively. Ahead of the series, Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya took to Instagram on September 10, sharing images from his training session.

Captioning the post “Picking up the pace,” Pandya seemed eager to get back into the rhythm as India gears up for another challenging set of games. His presence is especially significant, considering his standout performance in the 2024 T20 World Cup, where he was one of India’s key players.

Serving as vice-captain under Rohit Sharma, Pandya delivered in crucial moments, including taking three wickets in the final against South Africa at Kensington Oval.

Pandya last featured for India in a T20I against Sri Lanka on July 30, 2024, in Pallekele. He missed the subsequent ODI series, which India lost 0-2 to Sri Lanka, and was also absent from the initial rounds of the Duleep Trophy, as he took some time off to rest and prepare for the upcoming matches.

In his most recent match against Bangladesh, he shone with both bat and ball, scoring 50 runs off 27 balls and taking one wicket for 32 runs in North Sound, Antigua, during June 2024.
