The Duleep Trophy 2024 has been heating up with intense competition, and Day 1 at Anantapur was no exception. A notable moment came when Arshdeep Singh, the left-arm pacer for India D, claimed the wicket of Riyan Parag from India A. Arshdeep, who led the wicket-taking charts during the T20 World Cup 2024, was eager to display his prowess with the red ball.
Singh delivered a ball just outside the off-stump that tempted Parag to play a shot, resulting in a nick that was comfortably caught by India D’s captain, Shreyas Iyer, at first slip. The opening day saw India D making significant strides, as they quickly took control by dismissing four batters within the first 20 overs.
