Team India batter Rinku Singh recently unveiled a new tattoo ahead of the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh. Inked on his left hand, the tattoo reads “God’s plan,” a phrase he famously used after leading Kolkata Knight Riders to victory in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). The phrase became a symbol of Rinku’s inspirational journey, especially after he referenced it when Yash Dayal’s match-winning performance propelled Royal Challengers Bangalore into the IPL 2024 playoffs by defeating Chennai Super Kings.

India’s star batter Suryakumar Yadav also joined in on the fun, playfully teasing Rinku with the same phrase. Rinku took to Instagram to share a picture of his new ink, creating a buzz among his fans and followers. Despite being a fan favourite, Rinku last featured for India during the T20I series against Sri Lanka, where he struggled to make a significant impact.

In his 23 T20I appearances so far, Rinku has amassed 413 runs at an impressive average of 59.71, showcasing his potential as a valuable asset for India’s middle order. As India continues its cricketing journey, the team is currently engaged in a Test series against Bangladesh.

The first match took place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, where India secured a resounding victory. Batting first, India posted a total of 339 runs, followed by a dominant bowling performance that restricted Bangladesh to 149. In the second innings, India added another 287 runs, setting Bangladesh a massive target of 515.

With the first Test in the bag, India is gearing up for the second Test, which will take place at Green Park in Kanpur from September 27.  Aiming for a series win, India will look to continue their dominance, while Bangladesh will be eager to level the series. After the Test series, the teams will meet again for a three-match T20I series, scheduled for October 6, 9, and 12.
