Suryakumar Yadav once again demonstrated why he is hailed as one of the finest T20 batters of this generation, delivering another masterclass against Bangladesh. His array of breathtaking shots left the bowlers in tatters, showcasing his immense ability to dominate the game. Throughout his knock, SKY targeted his favourite leg-side region, where he thrives on dispatching bowlers to the boundary.
However, Bangladesh’s experienced pacer, Mustafizur Rahman, found a way to outsmart the Indian captain, exploiting Suryakumar’s strength against him. Out of the 29 runs Yadav scored, 28 came from the leg side, clearly highlighting his preference. Mustafizur knew this and, in a clever move, stuck to bowling on the middle and leg-stump lines, refusing to be rattled even after being hit for back-to-back sixes.

In the 6th over, with three fielders positioned in the deep on the leg side, Mustafizur tempted Suryakumar to go for another big shot. SKY attempted to whip the ball toward the leg side once again, but this time he found the fielder at deep backward square leg, bringing an end to his innings. It was a classic case of playing with the batter’s ego, and Mustafizur’s persistence paid off.

Earlier in the match, it was India’s bowlers who took control, picking up wickets at regular intervals and not allowing Bangladesh to build any significant momentum. Bangladesh struggled to get going and at one point, it seemed they might be bowled out for under 100. However, a gritty knock from Mehidy Hasan Miraz helped Bangladesh reach a respectable total.
