Shikhar Dhawan, known for his charm both on and off the field, is currently leading Gujarat Greats in the ongoing Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2024. The team, stacked with cricketing stars like Chris Gayle, Mohammad Kaif, Asghar Afghan, and S Sreesanth, has been fighting hard under Dhawan’s captaincy.
Despite his legendary status in Indian cricket, Dhawan is admired for his humility and his knack for keeping fans entertained. During the sidelines of LLC 2024, Dhawan gave his fans a glimpse of his playful personality by breaking into song during a pre-match training session.
The 38-year-old was warming up for a crucial match against India Capitals at the Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu when he was spotted singing a popular Punjabi tune. The impromptu moment delighted fans, reminding everyone of his easy-going nature, even in a high-pressure tournament.

Shikhar Dhawan himself managed only a single run before being dismissed, and although Chris Gayle’s fiery 21 off 11 balls and Mohammad Kaif’s steady 41-ball 40 kept them in the game, Gujarat could only post 134/6 in their 20 overs.

In response, India Capitals captain Ian Bell anchored the chase with an unbeaten 41 off 49 balls, aided by crucial contributions from Ben Dunk and Bharat Chipli. Manan Sharma’s brilliant bowling spell of 4/24 gave Gujarat a fighting chance, but Bell’s calm finish off the final ball sealed the win for India Capitals, leaving Gujarat with slim hopes of progressing beyond the league stage.
