After making his debut in Gwalior, the Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder grabbed his moment to shine in the second match, helping India secure a series win against Bangladesh. With the Indian top order struggling, the 21-year-old displayed remarkable composure and aggression, smashing 74 off just 34 balls at a strike rate of over 200, propelling India to a formidable total of 221.

Nitish Reddy’s impact wasn’t limited to his batting. He followed up with an impressive bowling performance, claiming two key wickets to round off a memorable match. Following India’s emphatic win, Reddy expressed gratitude to the team management for allowing him to play with freedom and confidence.

 

“It feels amazing to represent India. I’m so proud of this moment and grateful for everything. Credit goes to the captain and coach for giving me the license to play fearless cricket. I took my time initially, but after that no-ball, everything went my way. I hope to keep performing like this and continue making an impact for the team,” Nitish Reddy said after his stellar performance in Delhi.

While Reddy starred, the ever-reliable Rinku Singh played a crucial role, anchoring India’s innings with a solid 53 off 29 balls, studded with five boundaries and three sixes. Hardik Pandya’s quickfire 32 off 19 added the finishing touches as India posted a massive total. Bangladesh, unable to cope with India’s dominance, crumbled, with only Mahmudullah offering resistance with 41 runs as the visitors fell to a heavy 86-run defeat in the second game.
