The Border-Gavaskar Trophy tour of Australia by India is on course to begin with the first Test in Perth on 22 November. Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep, Washington Sundar, Sarfaraz Khan, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and assistant coach Abhishek Nayar landed in Australia on November 10 as part of the first batch of players to start preparing for this multi-match series.
The case is different as Virat Kohli is leaving with his family for the venue; hence, fans are even more thirsty to see him as he was not there in the net practice session. Meanwhile, two players have been seen taking good practice in the nets at WACA Ground named Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant and video recordings came online.

KL Rahul also arrived at India A in Australia for the four-day match against Australia A and had been practising at WACA. With Shubman Gill and Sarfaraz Khan also in the running for a place in the playing XI, Rahul will have to make good runs to retain his place.

To qualify for the WTC final to be held at Lord’s, India will have to win at least four out of five Tests against Australia. They have been at this stage twice before, getting outplayed by New Zealand and Australia. India will look to put an end to the cycle and claim its first championship.
