Mohammed Siraj’s seven-year journey with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has come to an end as the Hyderabad speedster was snapped up by Gujarat Titans for an impressive INR 12.25 crore at the IPL 2024 mega auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The Titans outbid Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in a fierce bidding war to secure the services of the right-arm pacer.
Siraj, who began his IPL career in 2017 with Sunrisers Hyderabad, joined RCB in 2018 and became a cornerstone of their bowling attack. Despite having the Right to Match (RTM) option, RCB opted not to retain him, paving the way for Siraj to embark on a new chapter with Gujarat Titans.

During his time with RCB, Siraj picked up 83 wickets in 87 matches, with 2020 standing out as a remarkable year under Virat Kohli’s leadership. He made IPL history by bowling consecutive maiden overs in a single match, cementing his place as a fan favorite.
Now joining Gujarat Titans, Siraj will share the pace attack with renowned bowlers like Ishant Sharma and Kagiso Rabada. Under Shubman Gill’s captaincy, he faces the challenge of adapting to a new environment while continuing to shine on the big stage. With the Titans aiming for another IPL triumph, Siraj’s addition bolsters their chances significantly, promising thrilling performances ahead.
