According to reports, a group of journalists was interviewing Australian pacer Scott Boland when Kohli arrived with his family. Spotting the Indian cricketer, the cameras shifted focus to him, which seemingly upset Kohli. He grew particularly concerned about his children being filmed without permission and engaged in a tense exchange with a TV reporter.

“It was upon seeing the waiting cameras that Kohli became a little heated over what was largely a misunderstanding. He thought the media was filming him with his children,” said a journalist present at the scene to 7NEWS. Kohli was overheard saying, “With my kids, I need some privacy. You can’t film without asking me.”

The situation de-escalated when Kohli was reassured that the cameras had not captured his children. In a gesture of understanding, Kohli reportedly shook hands with a Channel 7 cameraman after receiving the necessary clarifications.

On the cricketing front, Kohli has endured a challenging tour in Australia. Apart from a stellar second-innings century in Perth, he has struggled for runs, scoring only 26 in his other four innings. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is finely poised at 1-1, with Australia winning in Adelaide and India leveling the series in Perth. The rain-affected Brisbane Test concluded in a draw, keeping the series alive.

The high-stakes Boxing Day Test in Melbourne, starting December 26, will serve as the penultimate clash in this riveting series. Fans eagerly await to see if Kohli can rediscover his form and help India take the lead.
