It seems that the problems around Mohammad Shami are not going to end anytime soon. Been accused of several allegations by his wife, Hasin Jahan, and having undergone a road accident recently, the 27-year old right-arm fast-medium bowler might be put into a new undesired situation.

Recently, Jahan met CEO of Delhi Daredevils (Shami’s IPL franchise), Hemant Dua, and requested him to keep Shami out of this season of the IPL. After the meeting, she told ANI, “I kept my point in front of Hemant sir to not keep Shami in the IPL team until he resolves his family feud.”

Shami is currently booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including the attempt to murder, domestic violence and match-fixing. After the allegations were made public, BCCI had put a hold on Shami’s annual Grade B contract. Once his name was cleared off the match-fixing allegations in COA-appointed Neeraj Kumar’s report, he was eventually included in the list of contracted players.

There has been no comment made by anyone from Daredevils on this matter. Shami, would be keen on getting back on the field in a bid to do what he is best known for, would surely be disappointed if the management of Delhi Daredevils agrees to his wife’s request.
