India speedster Mohammed Siraj has confirmed that pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah will play the upcoming Manchester Test against England. Bumrah’s participation in the fourth Test match became a hot topic as the team management had made the call that the star pacer would only play three Tests as well. Notably, Bumrah played the first and third Tests at Headingley and Lord’s and missed the win at Edgbaston as well.

Speaking about the team combination for the match, Siraj said, “I’ve just come back from practice, so I don’t really know what discussions are going on or not going on. I don’t have that much knowledge right now about which combination we will go with or not. My only concern is that whatever combination is best for the team is what I want.”

However, Mohammed Siraj gave an update on speedster Akash Deep and also said that the pacer has a groin niggle and the physio is checking him as well. Siraj also said that the Bengal pacer did bowl on Monday morning, but there hasn’t been any feedback from the physios yet as well.

“When we talked about Akash Deep, something has happened in his groin, so the physio is checking him. So today morning he bowled as well. Right now, don’t know, haven’t got the feedback from physio because I was practising then, so we’ll get to know. So Anshul has come into the team. Arshdeep had an injury in the hand, but yeah Anshul has come,” Mohammed Siraj concluded.
