After securing a hard-fought draw in the fourth Test at Old Trafford, Team India arrived in London on Monday ahead of the final match of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy against England. Their first stop in the capital was a warm visit to the Indian High Commission, where the squad was hosted in a gesture of diplomatic and cultural camaraderie.

Captain Shubman Gill and head coach Gautam Gambhir presented signed bats to High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami and Deputy High Commissioner Sujit Ghosh as a token of appreciation. The brief but meaningful ceremony concluded with players posing for photographs alongside the dignitaries.

Shubman Gill led from the front with a composed 103, his fourth century of the tour. KL Rahul, who has been in sublime form, added 90, narrowly missing out on what would’ve been his third hundred of the series. The pair’s partnership on Day 4 was pivotal in India’s resistance.

Once Gill departed, the lower middle order took charge. Ravindra Jadeja (107*) and Washington Sundar (101*) stitched an unbeaten 203-run stand, showcasing grit and determination against England’s attack.
India now head into the fifth Test, starting Thursday, with renewed belief and momentum. While the series remains tight, Gill’s leadership and India’s batting resilience have set the stage for a thrilling finale at The Oval.
