India’s all-around brilliance continues to make waves on the international stage as two of its key players—Ravindra Jadeja and Abhishek Sharma—achieved remarkable feats in the latest ICC rankings update. Jadeja, already the world No. 1 Test all-rounder, has further extended his lead, while the rising star Abhishek Sharma has clinched the top spot in T20Is for the first time. Ravindra Jadeja’s all-round display in the Manchester Test against England proved pivotal.

With a gritty unbeaten 107 and four crucial wickets, Jadeja added 13 rating points to his tally, taking his total to 422—an astounding 117 points ahead of Bangladesh’s Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who is second on the list. The ICC highlighted his impact, stating that Jadeja has strengthened his position significantly at the top of the rankings. Along with his all-round dominance, Jadeja also climbed to 29th in the Test batting rankings and 14th in bowling.
Joining the upward surge is Washington Sundar, who impressed with his maiden Test century and a memorable 203-run partnership with Jadeja that salvaged a draw for India. His performance earned him an eight-spot jump to 65th among Test batters and a joint-13th position in the all-rounders’ list.

In other Test updates, Joe Root extended his lead as the world’s top Test batter, thanks to a fluent 150-run knock in Manchester. England captain Ben Stokes also climbed to No. 3 among Test all-rounders after his five-wicket haul and a brilliant 141 with the bat—his best ranking since December 2022.

The bowling department saw movement, too. Jofra Archer, in his comeback series, surged 38 places to reach 63rd after taking three wickets in Manchester. Chris Woakes also gained a spot, now at 23rd, following a tidy spell that included key breakthroughs. England’s batting lineup also reflected upward trends.
Ben Duckett entered the top 10, moving to 10th. Zak Crawley and Ollie Pope rose to 43rd and 24th respectively, showing the depth in England’s Test squad. In T20Is, Australia’s Josh Inglis, after amassing 172 runs—including two fifties—against West Indies, entered the top 10 at No. 9.
