As the gripping England vs India Test at The Oval unfolds, Day 3 promises to deliver more than just cricketing drama. On August 2nd, the Bharat Army will turn The Oval pink in a powerful show of solidarity for a noble cause. In partnership with Lymphoma Action, the UK’s only dedicated charity for lymphoma patients, the Bharat Army will honour Pink Day by wearing limited-edition pink jerseys and rallying support for those battling the fifth most common cancer.

The initiative will take centre stage at Block 7—the heart of the Bharat Army Stand—where hundreds of passionate fans are expected to create a moving sea of pink. With the series evenly poised and tension thick in the air, the timing couldn’t be more significant. The visual tribute is aimed at raising awareness and encouraging cricket lovers to extend their support to those affected by lymphoma.

Lymphoma Action acknowledged the gesture with gratitude, posting on social media: “Thank you so much for helping us to make sure no one has to face lymphoma alone.” The collaboration between a global cricket fanbase and a dedicated health charity highlights how sport can serve as a platform for meaningful change.

Bharat Army founder Rakesh Patel reflected on the purpose behind the campaign: “Cricket brings people together like few things can, and this Pink Day is about using that spirit of unity to shine a light on a vital cause. We’re proud to support Lymphoma Action and hope this gesture inspires our community to stand up, show up, and give back.”
