Siraj played a pivotal role for India in the 2025 edition of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, emerging as the leading wicket-taker of the series with 23 wickets. He featured in all five Tests, consistently troubling England’s top and middle order with his pace, seam movement, and intensity.

In the decisive fifth Test, which India clinched by a narrow six-run margin, Siraj bagged nine wickets—4 for 86 in the first innings and 5 for 104 in the second—earning him the well-deserved Player of the Match award.

Reflecting on the series, Ben Stokes admitted his disappointment at not being able to secure a win at The Oval but praised both teams for their intense efforts throughout the contest. “It’s been an amazing series to be a part of. Of course, we’re disappointed we didn’t close it out, but I’m incredibly proud of my team,” he added.

Looking ahead, India will resume their red-ball commitments in October 2025 with a two-Test home series against West Indies. The matches will be played in Ahmedabad (October 2–6) and Delhi (October 10–14).
