Virat Kohli has always been more than just a cricketer — he’s an entertainer in every sense of the word. Whether it’s his passionate batting displays or his energetic reactions while fielding, the 36-year-old never fails to light up the field. Former Indian captain and two-time World Cup winner MS Dhoni recently echoed this sentiment, calling Kohli an “ultimate entertainment package” — not for his cricketing skills, but for his flair off the field.

In a now-viral video, MS Dhoni was asked to describe Virat Kohli in one line. With a smile, the Chennai Super Kings legend responded, “He’s a good singer, dancer, and very good in mimicry.” When the interviewer asked if that makes Kohli the ultimate entertainer, Dhoni replied with a chuckle, “If he is in the mood, he is very, very entertaining!”

The camaraderie between Dhoni and Kohli continues to be admired by fans. It was under Dhoni’s leadership that Kohli debuted for India in 2008, later rising to become one of the game’s all-time greats. Presently, Kohli is spending time with his family in the UK, having retired from T20Is and Tests.

Dhoni, meanwhile, remains active in the IPL. Although he stepped down as CSK captain ahead of IPL 2024, he returned to lead the side in IPL 2025 after Ruturaj Gaikwad suffered a hand injury.

At the same event, MS Dhoni addressed questions about his future with CSK. “Me and CSK, we are together — even for the next 15-20 years,” he said with a laugh. “I hope they don’t expect me to play for 20 more years, but yes, I’ll always be there in a yellow jersey — whether on the field or not.”
