The incident occurred during the Eliminator clash between West Delhi Lions and South Delhi Superstarz at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, where Rathi and Nitish Rana engaged in a fiery exchange.

The tension began in Rathi’s very first over when Rana smashed a boundary, followed by three consecutive sixes. Rathi’s second over was no different, as Rana hammered another four and two more sixes, including a massive sweep shot.

Chasing a target of 202, West Delhi Lions were under early pressure, losing two quick wickets in the Powerplay. However, Rana turned the game around with a stunning display of aggressive yet calculated batting. Partnering with Yadav, he built a match-defining 97-run stand for the third wicket, effectively sealing the game.
