Arshdeep Singh, Jitesh Sharma, and Harshit Rana added a light-hearted twist to India’s Asia Cup 2025 celebrations by playfully mocking Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed. After India’s thrilling five-wicket win in the final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, September 28, the trio mimicked Abrar’s trademark head shake.

Arshdeep Singh even shared the hilarious moment on Instagram, where Sanju Samson was seen laughing at his teammates’ antics, adding a cheerful post-match flavour for the fans. While the off-field fun grabbed attention, the real story unfolded with India’s ninth Asia Cup triumph.

Tilak Varma was the hero, anchoring the chase with a sublime unbeaten 69 off 53 balls, decorated with three boundaries and four towering sixes. He found valuable support in Shivam Dube’s 33 and Sanju Samson’s handy 24. Pakistan’s Faheem Ashraf kept them in the contest with figures of 3/29, but India’s batting depth proved too strong.

Earlier, Pakistan managed 146 in 19.1 overs. Sahibzada Farhan stood tall with a brisk 57 off 38 balls, while Fakhar Zaman chipped in with 46. However, the rest of the lineup faltered, with no other batter crossing double digits. India’s bowlers dictated terms, led by Kuldeep Yadav’s magical 4/30. Varun Chakravarthy, Jasprit Bumrah, and Axar Patel chipped in with two wickets apiece to dismantle Pakistan’s middle and lower order.
