Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has chosen to remain calm and dignified amid a recent social media controversy involving his ex-wife, Dhanashree Verma. The internet erupted after a clip from a reality show went viral in which Dhanashree hinted that Chahal allegedly cheated on her just two months after their marriage. While the speculation spread rapidly, Chahal’s response reflected maturity, restraint, and a determination to move on from his past.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Chahal dismissed the cheating allegations as completely baseless and emotionally draining. “I am a sportsperson, and I do not cheat. If someone cheats within two months, would the relationship have lasted four and a half years?” he asked. “For me, this chapter is over, done, and dusted. I have moved forward, and everyone else should too. I’ve already said that I’m out of this whole thing, but some people are still stuck there.”
Yuzvendra Chahal’s comments reflect a sense of closure and maturity rarely seen in the face of public controversy. He acknowledged that while some people continue to use his name for relevance, he has chosen peace over public confrontation.

“Even now, some people are holding on to that issue. Their house is still running on my name,” he said. “But I’m not affected. This is the last time I’m addressing that chapter of my life. For me, it’s over. Social media keeps stories alive, but the truth is only one — and those who matter know it.”
Moving beyond the noise, Chahal revealed he is currently single and fully focused on his professional and personal growth. Interestingly, the cricketer has also expressed interest in exploring e-gaming, a field he has always been passionate about. “I’ve always loved playing online games. I know it has a huge future, and I’m planning to enter that space soon. We’re even launching our anthem soon,” he shared enthusiastically.
