Star Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav credited senior all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja for playing a key role in guiding him through challenging situations after his match-winning performance against the West Indies. Kuldeep was named Player of the Match for his brilliant eight-wicket haul in the second Test, helping India seal a 2-0 series victory.

Kuldeep, known for his wrist-spin mastery, once again proved why he remains a match-winner even on unresponsive pitches. On a dry and sluggish surface at the Feroz Shah Kotla, the left-arm spinner picked up a crucial five-wicket haul in the West Indies’ first innings, dismissing them for 248. He followed it up with three more scalps in the second innings, including the prized wicket of captain Roston Chase, to complete a memorable performance.

Reflecting on his effort, Kuldeep Yadav said at the post-match presentation, “This was a totally different wicket compared to the first Test. Bowling long spells was a challenge, but I enjoyed it. The wicket was dry, and there wasn’t much drift. Playing back-to-back Tests is always fun.”

He further added, “When you put more revs on the ball and generate arm speed, you naturally get more drift. I love getting batters bowled. Lovely to have Jadeja around — he’s always guiding me in tough moments. I’ll probably catch some football before the next series; there’s hardly any break.”
With 12 wickets across the two Tests, Kuldeep finished as the highest wicket-taker of the series, underlining his consistency and adaptability. His performances also came on pitches offering minimal turn, further highlighting his improved control and rhythm.
