The footage showcased the raw joy, relief, and unity that followed one of the greatest chases in women’s cricket history.

Jemimah Rodrigues was the star of the night, delivering a stunning 127 not out, while Harmanpreet Kaur added a crucial 89 off 88 balls, guiding India to chase down 338 in the 49th over. Earlier, Shree Charani’s disciplined spell (2/49) helped restrict Australia on a batting-friendly surface at the DY Patil Sports Academy.

The BCCI’s latest clip revealed the electric scenes in the pavilion as Amanjot Kaur smashed the winning boundary, sealing India’s passage to the final. Smriti Mandhana and her teammates erupted in joy, rushing onto the field as Rodrigues sank to her knees in tears. Mandhana hugged her tightly, with both players visibly emotional after scripting history against the defending champions.

 

 

The video also captured touching moments — Harmanpreet embracing coach Amol Mazumdar, Mandhana leading the crowd in chants for Rodrigues, and the entire team celebrating their star batter as she collected her Player of the Match award. Rodrigues responded with a rockstar-style guitar celebration, soaking in the applause during her victory lap.
