After years of dreaming and determination, Team India’s Women in Blue finally had their perfect moment — not just as world champions, but as a united family celebrating history. Following their 2025 ICC Women’s World Cup triumph, captain Harmanpreet Kaur and her teammates unveiled their long-awaited team anthem, “Hum Hain Team India,” at the Dr DY Patil Stadium on Sunday night.

The song, which had been a closely guarded secret for four years, became the soundtrack of India’s maiden World Cup victory — a night that will be remembered for generations. In a heartwarming video shared by the BCCI, Jemimah Rodrigues revealed the story behind the anthem’s creation.

The moment perfectly captured the unity and resilience that defined India’s campaign throughout the tournament. From Shafali Verma’s explosive 87-run knock in the final to Deepti Sharma’s five-wicket masterclass, every player played her part in scripting this fairytale finish. India defeated South Africa by 52 runs in the summit clash, ending years of heartbreak from the 2005 and 2017 editions.
