India’s 14-year-old batting prodigy, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, has taken another massive step in his blossoming career, earning a spot in the 15-member India A squad for the upcoming Rising Asia Cup 2025. The BCCI announced the squad on Monday, naming Jitesh Sharma as captain and Naman Dhir as vice-captain.

Suryavanshi’s selection marks a defining moment for the teenager who turned heads with his fearless batting during the IPL 2025 season. The young sensation scored 252 runs in seven matches, including a blistering century and a half-century, showcasing a maturity and flair well beyond his years. His strokeplay and temperament against top-quality bowling attacks made him one of the most exciting emerging talents in world cricket.

These exploits cemented his reputation as one of the brightest batting prospects in Indian cricket’s next generation.
