Harmanpreet Kaur, India’s trailblazing women’s cricket team captain who led the nation to its first-ever ICC title on November 2, 2025, is set to receive a unique honour — her very own wax statue. As reported by the Times of India, Harmanpreet’s statue will be installed at the Jaipur Wax Museum, located inside the iconic Sheesh Mahal of Nahargarh Fort. The grand unveiling is scheduled for March 8, 2026, coinciding with International Women’s Day, a fitting tribute to her remarkable leadership and contribution to Indian cricket.
According to museum founder Anup Srivastava, the wax figure will not just celebrate India’s historic World Cup victory but also recognise the achievements and resilience of women in sports. “Harmanpreet represents courage, discipline, and belief — qualities that have inspired a generation of Indian women to dream big and achieve globally,” Srivastava stated.

The museum already features several legends from various fields, including MS Dhoni, the 2011 Men’s World Cup-winning captain, making Harmanpreet only the second Indian World Cup-winning skipper to receive this distinction. Throughout the 2025 ICC Women’s ODI World Cup, Harmanpreet played a crucial role in India’s title triumph. She scored 260 runs in eight innings and anchored several key partnerships. Her 89-run knock in the semifinal against Australia, alongside Jemimah Rodrigues’ unbeaten 127, was pivotal in securing India’s place in the final.
