Mushfiqur Rahim once again reminded the cricketing world why he remains one of Bangladesh’s most fantastic ever performers in the longest format. The veteran wicketkeeper-batter added another golden chapter to his Test legacy by scoring the 13th century of his illustrious career during the ongoing second Test against Ireland at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.

With this knock, Rahim became only the 11th cricketer in Test history to score a century in his 100th Test match — a milestone that has eluded even some of the most celebrated names in the sport.

Before play began in Dhaka, Rahim was honoured by the Bangladesh Cricket Board. He received two special jerseys — one signed by his debut Test teammates and another by the current squad — along with a commemorative Test cap, plaque, and memento. According to BCB Cricket Operations Chairman Nazmul Abedin, the 38-year-old has no plans to retire anytime soon, ensuring fans can look forward to more chapters in his remarkable Test journey.
